The Kentuckiana 3 Wheelers was founded in late 2009.  We all bought our trikes for different reasons, some were too short to ride a “bigger” bike, some had physical problems that without a trike would have meant they couldn’t ride at all, and others liked the added safety and security a trike has over a conventional bike and some just like the way they looked.

While our reasons for owning a trike may be different and our bikes unique, we all come together with one common love, our trikes and riding.  We almost all ride with other clubs or organizations.  Our group is not to replace any other group, chapter or club that you already participate in.  We are not a club, but rather a group of people who just love to ride our trikes.  We don’t have meetings that are formal drawn out affairs.  We meet once a month for dinner and what ever needs to be talked about, we do it there and enjoy each others company.  Most of our trips end with a meal or at the very least dessert.   We decide early in the year some of the destinations we would like to visit.

Unlike other chapters or clubs, we decided instead of just riding somewhere and turning around and coming home, we wanted to visit places of interest and share those places with good friends.  We have one longer ride on the first Saturday of the month and a shorter ride on the third Saturday of the month.

There are no dues to be a part of our chapter and none of our rides are mandatory although we hope they will be interesting enough that you would want to come along.

Our bike choices are diverse as are our members, we have every thing from Harleys, Cheetah trikes, Stallions Goldwings and a custom bike or two.   As long as it has 3 wheels it is considered a trike. That is not to say a two wheeler doesn’t sneak in ever so often just to get to go to some of the places we visit.

Check out our ride schedule, and come ride with us. The dates and times are always on the calendar and unless it is otherwise noted in the calendar notes, we always leave from the Dairy Queen on Hurstbourne Lane next to I 64, just show up and ride.  Hope to see you soon.
